The mano con ojo, or "hand with eye" is a common symbol of protection across many cultures. This design was inspired by symbols and objects in everyday life, as well as items featured in Loteria. The symbols in the design represent both the good and bad in life, that our experience is a mixed bag of positive and negative, but with reminder to always keep at least one eye looking out.
