Beauty in the Resistance Snake Two-Color Reduction Print

80.00

This handmade linoprint depicts a snake, inspired by the gaboon viper. Ancient snake symbology represents rebirth, and in this case, our ability transform into the best versions of ourselves, despite hardships, injustices, or tides of conformity. The snake is nestled among lush roses to remind us that there is beauty in resisting injustice, despite attempts to vilify those who would stand up to the face of tyranny and prejudice.

- Printed by hand on Rives BFK 115 gsm paper from a single linoleum block in my home studio
- A linoleum block is carved and printed with the base ink color, then the same block is carved again and printed on top of the base color to create the multicolor image
- Every block is lovingly designed and carved by hand for each edition of prints
- Colors are custom mixed from oil-based inks
- This print is on 13 x 13 inch paper, image size is approximately 12 x 12
- Each print is signed, and limited editions are numbered
- This print is sold unmatted

Due to the hand-made nature of these prints and the nature of block printing, minor variations between prints are common
