Beauty in the Resistance Single Color Snake Print
Beauty in the Resistance Single Color Snake Print
This handmade linoprint depicts a snake, inspired by the gaboon viper. Ancient snake symbology represents rebirth, and in this case, our ability transform into the best versions of ourselves, despite hardships, injustices, or tides of conformity. The snake is nestled among lush roses to remind us that there is beauty in resisting injustice, despite attempts to vilify those who would stand up to the face of tyranny and prejudice.
- Printed by hand on Somerset 250 gsm paper from a single linoleum block in my home studio
- This block was created by drawing the design onto the linoleum, then carving out the image with hand tools to reveal the completed block
- Every block is lovingly designed and carved for each edition of prints
- This print is on 13 x 13 inch paper, image size is approximately 12 x 12
- Each print is signed, and limited editions are numbered
- This print is sold unmatted
Due to the hand-made nature of these prints and the nature of block printing, minor variations between prints are common
