This handmade leather bowl is gilded with 22 k gold leaf around the edge with an abstract design in the center. Perfect for holding jewelry, or as a centerpiece on its own. Made from smooth vegtan (a natural tanning process) cow leather. Like all vegtan leathers, it will develop a deeper, richer color with age and exposure to UV light. Lightly conditioned with a leather wax for protection, it is not fully waterproof, but will age beautifully.

Exploring vessel shapes and leather as a primary material is the inspiration for this piece, therefore it is meant to be an art object and not a utility serving piece.
