Made from smooth vegtan (a natural tanning process) cow leather. The sculpted abstract shape is reminiscent of a poppy, giving inspiration for the name. Like all vegtan leathers, it will develop a deeper, richer color with age and exposure to UV light. The central design is gilded with 22 k gold leaf.

Exploring vessel shapes and leather as a primary material is the inspiration for this piece, therefore it is meant to be an art object and not a utility serving piece.
